This is the result of a recent project I made in third semester. We had to create a limited edition for a self-selected musician. I chose the Swedish Singer and Songwriter José González. The limited edition consists of his three albums (genre indie folk). The wooden packaging includes three booklets. Every booklet represents one album and contains the lyrics.
I selected a significant lyrics quote out of his 31 songs. Suitable to this quotes, I developed an illustrative and handmade cover.
You can drag the transparency out of the cover and place it on the suitable stroke in the booklet. So the quote completes the lyrics (shown above). This helps to have a closer look at the special lyrics. People are stimulated to reflect more about the texts of the songs.
In addition to the Packaging I came up with a marketing strategy. The idea is to commercialize the limited edition with a poster campaign and a fashion line, which is available at the fictional Onlinestore.
